Does your reselling business need its own website?
I’m almost always recommending business owners to get their own website. Almost. Key word there. The thing about advice is that there’s never a one-size-fits-all. So what about resellers? Resellers: someone who purchases inventory at retail (specifically inventory not purchased at wholesale with a wholesale agreement) or secondhand to then “flip:” sell it again at a profit. Quick answer: I say no. You don’t need your own website. Cue disbelief. “What?! How can you call yourself a business coach?! EVERY BUSINESS NEEDS A WEBSITE”. Take a deep breath and let me walk it through with you.

The last thing you want to think about is taxes, am I right? But like it or not, taxes are a part of life. If you’re a normal American, you might be able to get by only doing them once a year. But as a small business owner, you’re doing them not once but up to five times a year. And unfortunately that little truth alone will scare many would-be-business owners into not going into business.
DO NOT LET TAXES SCARE YOU. I’m going to help you take the fear out of taxes. Once you remove the fear, it’ll just be another easy peasy regular task that you do because you’re a responsible business owner. Ready? Let’s do this. I’ll tell you what you need to know about these scams, how to spot them, and how to foil their scheme.
Etsy boasts over 40 million shoppers. With those kind of numbers, you are probably contemplating if you should hop on the Etsy train. Many successful business owners have started their business on Etsy. Even today Etsy is a great platform to start your business on!
I wouldn’t say that I LOVE watching TV, but I’m definitely not an amature. I don’t watch TV a whole lot, but when I do, I’m usually tuning into something business-y. Recently my husband pointed this out to me (and made a little bit of fun of me too). You won’t find me watching the latest reality shows like the Bachelor or the most popular dramas like Game of Thrones. More often than not you’ll find me watching shows with a spin towards business. If I’m going to spend time watching TV anyway, why not watch something that could help me grow my business?
If you need something entertaining and potentially educational, here’s my list of must watch TV shows for any small business owner or aspiring entrepreneur. |
